WCRR: The Who Confirmed for Super Bowl XLIV
Ever since the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” during the halftime show at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, the NFL and CBS Sports have been feeding us a steady diet of rock ‘n’ roll. Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen have been featured in recent years and now The Who have been confirmed for 2010. Roger and Pete will take the stage Sunday, February 7th at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida. It’s hard to believe that it’s been over 40-years since The Who set a standard for rock bands on television when they explosively destroyed their instruments on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
